Coach Andy Yount
Andy Yount Bio
Before Andy started his martial arts journey he was a professional baseball player for 8 years. During that time, he began coaching youth baseball and continues to work with young players to this day. Andy has always had a passion for martial arts with 15 years of total experience in several disciplines.
He holds a black belt in JKD, but has spent the vast majority of his time learning the art of judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. With hard work and dedication to the art, Andy earned his black belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu in February of 2016. After going through a progression of rigorous training courses, Andy is the only certified Gracie Self Defense Instructor in the area.
Coach Manny Reyna
Manny Reyna Bio
Manny started his martial arts journey in other disciplines and really focused on jiu jitsu the last 6 years. Manny realized that jiu jitsu gave him more of the ground fighting knowledge that he was seeking. In June of 2014 Manny received his blue belt in Gracie jiu Jitsu. When Manny is on the mats you will usually find him helping with the children and teen classes. Outside of the academy, Manny is a busy dad with his 6 year old daughter and 16 year old son.
